And I just love their fancy digs! What kind of kitties are Sabrina and Satchmo? They're gorgeous!

24. Why, thank you, Fridays Child!
Satchmo and Sabrina are Abyssinians. Sabrina is Satchmo's mother. They are a little wild looking, aren't they? They're very sweet kitties. :loveya:

Here are some other shots of them ...

34. Awww, thanks.
And not a bit spoiled.

They did come from prize-winning stock, but we don't show them. Why do we need some kitty judge to tell us they're special? Sabrina does have some "short-comings" ... short tail, sort legs, short body. She was a little short-changed, as the breeder said. But we love her.

7. Asking for permission.
Back when we could have larger signatures, there was a person who had a signature line with three kitty pictures in a row. I thought this was such a cool looking signature line. I can't remember for the life of me who it was, but I would like to make a sort of collage like that of my three for the kitty picture threads.

To whoever that was:
Can I have permission to copy you?

42. It looks so cool, doesn't it?
Maybe we could make it a kitty picture club of some sort or another forum. I love the way it looks. I'm working on finding the best pictures of my cats to make as my avatar or my sig line. I just hope when I do ask for the permission, I get it. Otherwise, I'll probably go with a film reel look if possible. I'm just trying to come up with a way to be able to post in the cat picture threads easier and better for bandwidth, maybe adding a link to the larger picture size in case anyone wants to see the bigger version of the picture. :hi: :loveya:

To think I actually thought I bought that waterbed for myself. Every cat I have had since I bought it has promptly claimed it

From Garrison Keillor ....

Why do you make the sofa your nest?

Halleluiah, pass the sardines. I think it's lunch time!

40. It has never been put on a collection as far as I know. I just
heard it on the show back in the early/middle 1980's, to the tune of Camptown Races of course

The cats in our house sing this song,
Meow , meow
Cat town races all night long,
meow meow meow meow

Gonna run all night
gonna sleep all day

and I can't remember any of the rest, except somewhere in there is a line about his(Garrison's) feet being the finish line.

It is very cute.

16. I can't get my new feral babies to come out of the bedroom.
So, I thought I'd better just go up there and get some pics. They're always happy to have visitors and they like the dogs, too. In fact Demmy (top right) absolutely adores my shepherd/chow mix, Honey. She insists on curling up with her every night. But my other two cats have been less than hospitable--the little beeyotches. Anyway, Demmy and DiDi seem perfectly happy to live in the bedroom, for now, and that's fine with me. They're sisters, about five months old.

Edited on Fri Nov-04-05 10:44 PM by yellowdogintexas
I would if I still had dial up.

by the way, those are farm cats. The fact that they had so many black ones all at the same time was just friggin hilarious. My other sister and I were out there just cracking up.

Four of them sat outside the storm door and stared at us while we were eating dinner that night. We had a cousins party and those cats wanted to be cousins too.

30. I had dial-up while my cable was out.
I just got my cable back this afternoon. Boy, the dial-up was annoying! I wanted to buy music from iTunes and couldn't even listen to a clip without it buffering about 2 measures before it went to get more. Gave up on that pretty fast!

Well, this DOES say it's a Gratuitous Friday Kitty Thread, so that should be fair warning ... bring it up, go take your shower, and come back to look at the pics. ;)
