64. Those are probably bees nests
Yellow jackets most likely. They'll start building nests anywhere that looks good initially, and then abandon them and leave them unfinished. Since it's in an office window, I'm guessing the little bastards started building the nest on the weekend when it seemed like a quiet location, and when all the lights came on and people started moving around inside the building, they realized their error and moved on to a new location.

12. "Turn Soonest to the Sea" by Protest the Hero from their album "Kezia"
I remember when you were hopeful
And you never thought your life would be lived inside a coffin
With a moral sacrifice and a million social obligations, labels and expectations
You were young and modern seventeen in vogue and vague pursuit of a cosmopolitan dream
When you bled on the bed as you fed those expectations as a whore and not a human
You embraced with hesitation the parameters of all you can be
Not a mother, not an aunt, not a sister who's not subdued
Because dignity's not physical and your flesh means more than you
Your flesh means more than you; your flesh means more than you
Your flesh means more than you; your flesh means more than you
I know we'll wake up one day with a gun to the back of our brains
You'll be asking for your rib and I'll smile and call you brave
Maybe someday when this bloody skull has dried I'll know our city is in ruins
And the greatest source of pride is a monument of dicks and ribs and gender crowns we wore
Where underneath, a plaque will read, "No woman is a whore"

19. "Radar Love" by Golden Earring
I've been drivin' all night, my hand's wet on the wheel
There's a voice in my head that drives my heel
It's my baby callin', says I need you here
And it's half past four and I'm shifting gear

When she's lonely and the longing gets too much
She sends a cable comin' in from above
We don't need no phone at all
We've got a thing that's called radar love
We've got a wave in the air, radar love

The radio's playing some forgotten song
Brenda Lee's "Coming on Strong"
The road's got me hypnotized
And I'm speeding into a new sunrise

When I get lonely, and I'm sure I've had enough
She sends her comfort, comin' in from above
Don't need no radio at all
We've got a thing that's called radar love
We’ve got a line in the sky, radar love

No more speed, I'm almost there
Gotta keep cool now, gotta take care
Last car to pass, here I go
And the line of cars drove down real slow

And the radio played that forgotten song
Brenda Lee's "Coming on Strong"
And the newsman sang his same song
One more radar lover's gone

When I'm feeling lonely and I'm sure I've had enough
She sends the comfort coming in from above
Don't need no radio at all
We got a thing that's called radar love
We got a line in the sky
We got a thing that's called radar love
We got a thing that's called radar love

The Cranberries - Everybody's Doing It, So Why Can't We

Earlier, also heard these CDs:

Courtney Jaye - Traveling Light

Mary Chapin Carpenter - Come On Come On

All three albums are highly recommended!

Heard these songs:

Carrie Underwood - "Jesus Take The Wheel" (bland song. I don't like it. She's just a decent talent at best, so she needs better. The song "Some Hearts" is better in a Martina McBride way. But it looks like the upcoming album might be loaded with annoying ear-piercing choruses, sung by her still not fully experienced voice.)

"4ever" by The Veronicas - I love this duo!

Battle of Who Could Care Less on a burned-CD mix of Ben Folds (solo) and Ben Folds Five I downloaded. I'm very disappointed that I recently found out that he's supposedly a rabid pro-lifer, so I've decided to not buy anymore of his music. I'll still steal it though...I like the music too much.

50. It was in an article I read a few months back
Edited on Sat Nov-05-05 09:53 AM by Chan790
that he regrets the abortion that "Brick" is about and is a supporter to several pro-life organizations because he now thinks it was wrong. It was an unauthorized article from what I recall so it may be bunk. I tried to find it online but no dice. I'm weary but better safe than sorry. If he doesn't want to debunk it, I'm not going to support him.

His site doesn't even address the question, in concert he says that the the song is apolitical fact and he's said in the past that he doesn't want to talk about it or his views. IMO it's fine if he has a personal feeling on it, but to tell other people that they can't have one because he regrets having been a party to one takes it too far.

edit: editing initial post to include "supposedly".

52. Oh, great.
I saw him open for Tori Amos a couple of years ago. On the "Scarlet's Walk" tour for god's sake. He talked and talked and TALKED about how much he loved Tori, Tori's music, Tori's ideals, and let me tell you, that show? Involved Tori professing some ideals. (There were rude "Christian" folks there who heckled her; she told them to fuck off and then devoted the whole rest of the concert to the anti-Christian-dogma songs.)
