"Have fun in Red China. Hope they keep you."
I saw this book the other day called "Dear Mr. President" (link below) which is letters to presidents from all kinds of people. The "red China" one in the title is the whole letter one person sent to Nixon.

Another one to Nixon:
"You are a sellout, a jackass, and a dolt." from a lady in Kansas.

Do you think in 50 years there will be a version of this with everybody's letters to Georgie? How many volumes do you think that will be?

1. No, there won't, because I'm sure Shrubbie has never seen them
because I'm sure that his handlers toss out all negative letters, and then have the people investigated by the IRS and NSA and FBI and otherwise harassed.

There will be no record of negativity toward our petulant child king.

2. Good point. That's probably the case. But, in this book the original
letters are shown and you can see all the official stamps on them. The book was compiled from the National Archives so maybe that's where they all end up eventually.
Who knows if Nixon saw those either.

Another funny set was the Smothers Brothers writing to Johnson to apologize for lampooning him, and Johnson's reply thanking them for being funny in a difficult time for the nation.

Some letters from kids are pretty funny too.

4. She would. He said something about needing "geniuses" like them
but I don't remember exactly how he put it. It's a fun little book.
