A Northwestern student was charged with public urination at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday after Evanston Police officers observed a man urinating on playground equipment on the 1100 block of Simpson Street, EPD said.
Officers said they saw the McCormick senior standing inside a play fire truck in Fireman’s Park while urinating. The student lowered himself down to hide his body when he noticed police and then left the park, EPD said.
Two young girls were playing in the park when EPD observed the student, the report stated.
EPD stopped the student at the intersection of Simpson Street and Maple Avenue. The student told police he had been drinking all day and offered to clean up after himself, EPD said.
The student is scheduled to appear in Circuit Court in Skokie on Nov. 14.
