Not the Canucks though..

We only have the ECHL and college hockey here in Anchorage :( ..But in March, I'll be at my little girl's hockey tournament in San Jose..

We'll see the Sharks v. Kings..

7. As far as NHL teams go..

Since I haven't been to one yet :( ... I generally root for the Devils because Scotty Gomez (hometown hero) plays for them..

During the NHL lock-out, he played here at home the lowly ECHL! Gotta love him for that because he could've played in Europe for 100x more money.. but he stayed home and played in Anchorage. :)


Our local team here, Alaska Aces, is the secondary farm team of the St. Louis Blues this year.. and as a result, we have a couple awesome players.. so I suppose I have to root for the Blues some too..

But my all time favorite Anchorage local player is from Calgary (was selected by the Canucks a long ass time ago).. but never did get to play for them.. Dean Larson of Calgary:
