13. WE did it in two Hours, it took the Big Guy 6 days

Otherwise, it went well. The Soprano Soloist was exceptional for her humor as well as beautiful voice. The orchestra seemed less cohesive as I've heard it before, but certainly good, just not as good as I've heard it. The Chorus was sloppy in places, but that's from my perspective, my wife, an Alto that's sitting out this year, said she couldn't hear anything off from the audience.

Strathmore was about 2/3 empty for the performance....

15. They cut orchestra rehearsal time this year

which I think was a huge mistake. It was stressful enough trying to pull things together with 3 regular rehearsals and a dress on the day of the concert.

Our last chamber orchestra concert received a negative review, because the ensemble was pretty rank in places. It's a shame that the hall wasn't filled for the Haydn. It's such a wonderful work!

Let's hope things get better! :toast:
