disturbing "dream"
since I was half-asleep I guess you could call it a dream

I had been tossing and turning since 2am, trying to find a position that didn't hurt (fibramyalgia is acting up again)

enny-whoo -- around 3:30 am-ish I had looked at my clock, rolled over again and tried to get back to sleep...

I "heard" a voice and sensed someone standing at the foot of the bed - the "voice" said quite clearly "Squeechie's dead". I sat up and said aloud "Whaaat?"

problem is - I don't know anyone named Squeechie, nor anyone that has a pet named Squeechie. There isn't anyone or anything I know that goes by that name...

ok - some may say I misheard the name - but the "voice" was quiet loud and clear, I don't think I misheard it....

so who or what the hell is Squeechie?

2. Kinda reminds me of Lost Highway...
Bill Pullman goes to the intercom, presses the button and a voice says "Dick Laurent is dead."

Creepy.

3. The only person who can tell us is you.
Often times in a dream, one word that may sound similar to another is substituted.

For example, in Sopranos, where Tony dreams Carmela is angry because he has brought a horse into the house. In fact, the issue is Tony and the WHORES he metaphorically brings into the house by having them.

Who is Squeechie? Could it be a name you had for a childhood friend? A few years ago, a man I worked for a long time ago suddenly appeared in my thoughts, when I had not thought of him in a long, long time. It was like he was communicating with me.

I learned two days later that he had been alive two days ago, but was dying, and had died the day before. I don't know what it means, but I was there, and there is no doubt in my mind that his dying time period and my thoughts of him were connected.

Maybe there is a Squeechie your distant past that you've forgotten, or the name is similar to one in your distant past.
