how much I appreciate Pithlet's posts. She has been a strong presence since I can remember first posting at DU - and I can not recall a time when a she made a post that I read that I didn't think "I am SO GLAD someone expressed that." 18. For what it is worth...

I "met" your husband first, while I had the time (early on) to do DU chat. What a great guy (and of course we found the Indiana connection) - but over the long haul (who knew we would still be around DU, all this time later) - it is you with whom I find so much affinity. You are strong in your beliefs, but always state them with such dignity (i.e. avoiding flame words) that moves flames to real discussions - and on so many important topics. I aspire to handle my such on the boards in a similar manner (with grace in disagreement) and sometimes fail. As is going to be the case in a discussion board like DU, from time to time. I aspire to carry myself with the quite strength and dignity that emanates from your contributions to DU. Furthermore, in the past eighteen months, when I have had much less time to post, I can not tell you the number of times I have stumbled upon a thread late to the discussion, and wanted to scream "AMEN!" to a series of your posts.

Sad that it takes a "post number" to evoke a sentiment. But again, please know that I, for one, so very appreciate your contributions to DU. You, in my mind, are a big part of what makes this place so special. :hugs:
