Friday the 13th...Part INFINITY....
How grateful are we that this movie has not been made?

I say this because I just got done watching parts 1 through whatever yesterday with my kids.

Yes, go ahead, call me a bad mother for letting them be densensitized.... but they are comical.

29. Meh. Don't worry about it.
My buddy and I had our own marathon (at the time it was only up to number 5 or 6) when we were 8 or 9 years old.

I eventually saw the rest of them after the fact. None of them really have anything THAT bad in them.

7. You mean that my mother was a bad mother because she let
us watch Dark Shadows and bought me the Dark Shadows board game (complete with glow in the dark fangs)? I Don't Think So!

She was the greatest Mom in the World and it sounds to be like you are vying for a very close 2nd place. :hi:

How are things for you? I think of you and what it must be like all the time.

9. She was the best and she loved to decorate for Halloween.
Each year she would increase her efforts for us and we often had the creepiest house on the block before it was cool to be creepy.

I do miss her.

And it does sound like you are loving as she loved. The most important gift she gave us was the gift of herself, that she took the time, despite work, to share time and adventures with us. She went out of her way to make us costumes, to help us with school work and to let us know that she was human.

I am hanging in there and now have a puter at my FEMAnsion. :bounce: I have so missed DU at nights and on the weekends. :freak:

11. Oh, you must have been just a mere babe when it aired.
Edited on Sun Oct-30-05 12:14 PM by merh
And if your sister was like mine, she would take advantage of you and torment you unmercifully.

The nightmares I would experience happened when my sister would glare at me like Jack Nicholson in The Shining. And she did it before that movie was made. I think Nicholson stole the look from her! :scared:

 :loveya:

13. She would taunt me about it
I was about 8 or 9 when it originally aired. To this day I have a fear of mirrors in darkened rooms.

14. I have fear of mirrors in lighted rooms.
But that is mainly due to bad hair days. ;-)

I have 5 sisters, 2 of which unmercifully tormented me. I am the runt of the family and you wouldn't believe the short jokes I have had to endure all of my life.

15. Rumour is that "Freddy vs Jason vs Michael Myers"
is in the pipeline!

And good on you for watching it with your kids. My parents were ultra-strict with me (but uber-lax with my 10-years younger brother), but my best friend growing up had very liberal parents & a Dad who collected horror films.

17. Originally, the makers of Friday the 13th wanted 13 parts...
After the second one it got really dumb. The first one was freaky...cause it really could have happened.

20. VI was comedic though...and I dressed exactly like the Sheriff's
daughter back then...with the tight jeans and slouch boots. MrG even said,"Hey! You used to dress like that...how come you don't anymore?"

30. Well, I was just reading on...
...http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/ that, according to Kane Hodder they may be remaking Friday the 13th and he's hoping to come back as Jason.

Here's the scoop:

Kane Hodder, the man behind the Mask, told TV Guide that he thinks a remake of Friday the 13th is a good idea – if only because it means he might get the job again, according to Moviehole. Hodder, who was replaced for Freddy vs Jason, says “ might be in my favor, because they might not feel they were admitting anything if they went back to a "basic Jason" thing.” God bless that guy and is ambition to be Jason Voorhees again, we wish you luck Kane! Funny thing is, Jason Voorhees wasn't the killer in the first film, makes you wonder doesn't it?
