Poll question: My next brilliant career move?
I'm completely fed up with my life. Which circus should I run away to join?

1. given a choice, I'm going for long haul trucker.
As long as I get to ride shot gun. I can't drive for shit. The first time some butthole, on the phone, cut me off and slammed on the brakes I'd ride up over the jerk, and go to jail gladly.

3. My brother-in-law tried the long-haul trucking....
for a year. He is a computer systems engineer. He was gone for two weeks at a time, had to sleep in the damn cab of the truck. It is a hellish life. He quit and we are delighted about that.

5. R U already a programmer?
If so you should know it still hasn't recovered. Between relatives, out-sourcing, and the H1-B's, there are still about 400 candidates for every opening and wages are suppressed to subsistence levels.
I think you should suck up to your States party bosses and run for office.
