Good Saturday Morning, Everyone!
:donut::hi:
I hope all of you are having a GREAT weekend so far! I have to work today (and hopefully it will be a busy day so the time will go by faster) but I'm off tomorrow! :woohoo: Anything exciting happen overnight, Nighthawks?

5. If I'm real lucky ...
I'll be able to catch a little more sleep before I tackle today. I still have that roof_fixing_job to take care of, we don't expect rain this weekend - although is is a bit cool. I don't have any idea about the temperatures that are needed to cure the silicone caulk I think I'll be using.

My wireless computer card is fun. After I spent 2 hours in Cingular getting 3 years of unnecessary junk cleared out of my laptop - I was good to go. On my way home I got stuck at a railroad crossing with a very slow freight train passing through town. I whipped out my laptop and sent one PM and one post. That was exciting! Of course I pulled over to shut everything down before finishing my drive home.

*note to self* no posting while driving ...

11. It is more sensitive to any temporary loss of signal.
so it did go off line several times while I was playing with my laptop in my bedroom just before I fell asleep ...

the salesman/tech said that you don't notice a momentary break in service on the cell phones as you do on a computer ...

reconnecting is easy and then I just hit the back button to continue what I was doing before I was knocked off-line ...

the service is faster than dial-up but slower than cable ...

this opens a whole new world to me ...

the possibilities are endless ...

when DU calms down and things are moving slowly again - perhaps I'll start a thread asking about "How can you earn money using a computer" ...

I'm not interested in buying things to resale on e-bay as one of my friends suggested ... but there must be a way ...

14. The E-bay thing is NOT easy...
There is a LOT more to it than you'd think and you have to spend as much time and energy doing it as a regular job. Plus, there's always the chance you'll get a deadbeat bidder and then it's hell on Earth to try to get your listing fees back and stuff. I wouldn't ever suggest E-bay as a job to make a living by. It's OK if you just have a few things you want to get rid of, but not as your sole source of income.

Yeah, weekends suck for me--three 12 hour shifts in a row (or longer if they need me to work extra). But it helps pay the bills and I get my bennies through them so .

I'm just always petrified it won't work when I put it all back together. And there always seems to be one moment during the operation when I think "oh no, I've really screwed it up now." So far I haven't broken anything though!

Good morning! :)

My weekend looks to be great. Halloween party tonight (lots of boys, lots of booze, lots of (insert whatever you wish here)! hehe

I was up late reading the first 12 chapters of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Looks to be a beautiful day. I have to wash my new car then go grocery shopping, stop by the cleaners, then go have lunch with the parents who are in town.

Thanks for the great wakeup call

51. Good morning to you all!
Going to be a great day today. I'm meeting my son's fiance's mom for the first time and looking forward to it.

We're taking the grandchildren to the pumpking patch (they are 2 and one month) and taking pix.

Then I'm spending the rest of the day trying to get ahead of the dog hair on this tile floor. The black lab is blowing her coat in preparation for winter.
