1. I hated the candy that came in either a black wrapper...
or an orange wrapper. It tasted like peanut butter, but not the good stuff.

Man, that shit was nasty! :puke:

My favorite has to be the Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. Mmmmmmm...

4. Oh yeah, that stuff SUCKED!
It was always elderly people that gave it out around here. They also gave out sticks of Wrigley's gum every year, too.

16. Me too
I also hated SweetTarts. I don't want candy to be sour; that's what salad dressing is for. I also didn't care for popcorn balls or anything Gummi.

I loved, and still love, chocolate. Peanut butter cups are a big favorite, also M&Ms.

Edited on Sat Oct-29-05 02:32 AM by marzipanni
In 1960, when I was in 5th grade, a kid in my class went to Hawaii (from Massachusetts), and that was a pretty big deal. He brought a coconut to our class and we each got a piece to try. Later the teacher had a little spelling bee and the winner would receive the rest of the coconut to take home. I won...I nibbled...I felt sick (if I barfed I put it out of my memory!) It took years to get over that yucky feeling about coconut.

I generally don't like sugar-based candy without chocolate in it, but a few rolls of Smarties are good for a fast sugar buzz. So are those candy necklaces, which are also an interesting fashion accessory.

35. That's funny
here, these are Smarties:

Smarties are WAY better than M&M's!

When you eat your smarties
do you eat the red ones last
do you suck them very slowly
or crunch them very fast
eat that candy coated chocolate
but tell me when I ask....

when you eat your smarties, do you eat the red ones last?

CRUNCH!

Canucks must remember that little ditty. :D

Rockets (CAN) = Smarties (US)

But it does sound like you overdid it, though not surprising...:-)

I was never really tempted, maybe because the smell of chocolate was so strong. But when I came back from my break, there were usually wrappers all over the place and numerous voided cash register slips... The woman who covered for me more than overdid it, and in only 30 minutes, LOL! There was only one kind of candy that I liked and still do. Did you ever have Ice Cubes? They are very high quality light chocolate mixed with crushed hazel nuts, and they really do seem to be cold! Out of this world...:9

Then one year some idiot decided that instead of candy we should go around and get pennies for UNICEF. Poor kids. WTF?

I am not much of a candy eater, besides I'm old enough that we got homemade brownies, cookies, popcorn balls, fudge etc quite often.

I could tolerate Hershey bars, Kisses, M & M's and Mars products.

Now it would be strictly Hershey miniatures...Dark only.
