In true holiday fashion, I got sick for Fitzmas

Never fails...If there's a holiday, I'm likely to come down with something. This morning, I woke up with my throat screaming, and a head that weighed 500 pounds. Ah, sinus pressure! I have used nearly three rolls of toilet paper blowing my nose, I have a fever, and my throat is killing me. I don't care...I still cheered during the press conference, and I've been screaming at the rethuglican spin doctors all afternoon and evening.

1. Do yourself a favor and switch to some nice soft kleenex with aloe

Your nose will thank you, I promise.

Poor dear, I hope you feel better ASAP. It sucks being sick during the holiday season. :)

2. Well, my daughter missed three days of school this week with strep

I don't think I've got strep, but I am pretty miserable. I would be totally miserable if it wasn't Fitzmas!

At the rate that I am blowing my nose, I'd go broke buying Kleenex. I'll stick with the tp for now.

3. Poor thing...

Don't laugh at this... use lotion on you nose so it doesn't chafe. Even if you just do it at night before you go to bed it'll help.

How's the the little girl doing with the strep? It sucks when they are sick even worse than when you are.

Mine is away in college and is sick for the first time w/o mom there to take care of her. :(

4. Yeah, lotion is my friend...but the nose isn't raw yet

My daughter is doing much better...she went back to school today, thanks to antibiotics! Lucky for us, the kids have Medicaid. I, on the other hand, will have to deal with whatever I can get over the counter.

5. That was my story, too.

Kid goes to the doctor, mom learns alternative medicine for herself. In the later years the kid also got to benefit from my alternative knowledge.

This time I made her go to the doctor, however. She was coughing so badly she burst a blood vessel in her eye. :scared:
