"Stacie, is that a noodly appendage?"
"I'm scared of Dick Cheney."
"STAB STAB STAB. I stabbed my meatball and now it's dead."
"I'm a butt."

This child is three.

:scared:

1. Too much TV.
Little minds don't know how to interpret, for that matter I don't either.

7. Actually, she doesn't watch much TV...
Her dad has a FSM desktop picture, and does a pretty scary Dick Cheney imitation.

I don't know where the stabbing/dead meatballs or the "I'm a butt" came from...

8. Good! Kept my daughter away from TV, PBS excepting
Now I have the brightest, happiest 11 year old girl you could possibly imagine!

She's a voracious reader, kind hearted, empathic and not desensitized.

She also has a powerful sense of justice and moral outrage, where did that come from? :7

Raising a kid with TV is like trying to build their bodies on a steady diet of pepsi and cheetos, very, very bad.

Sounds like you've got a firm handle on things. :)

10. She's my BF's daughter, but I'd agree he's got a handle on things
(His ex, too.)

I think Nickelodeon is about it for TV -- and her dad doesn't have cable (or a television at all), so it's the occasional DVD on his computer.

2. put on LIttle Bear
it's a great antidote to that. Or have a tickle fest! Should wash all those images right out of her head. :)

6. Makes me wonder, any creative parents putting together
a Flying Spaghetti Monster costume for one of their trick-or-treaters? That would be cool!

9. I love this child.
I haven't laughed this hard in a day or two. Congratulations, she has learned to express herself nicely. I hope you told her she's not a butt, she's adorable.:loveya:

11. I was laughing too hard to say much of anything.
After her dad did the Dick Cheney sneer this morning, she said:

"I'm going to grin at you. GRRR." And she did a growl-grin and made Dick Cheney laugh.
