to the White Sox fans...I was pulling for the Astro's, but to me it really didn't matter, cause i'm a Mariners fan...good job, WhiteSox, no one, including myself thought or gave you a prayer to win much of anything....i have seen the whitesox play twice, once in the Kingdome in 93 and once again at Comiskey in 2000, against my Mariners...they kicked my mariners badly, like 23-3 that night....it was a gruesome game...but, again congrats...

30. I have little to add, except that 3 generations

of my family have now enjoyed their 1st world championship. My dad has lung cancer and is 82, Sox won 6 years before he was born. He is more of a football fan and more of a Cub fan in baseball...

I was 5 the last time a Chicago team was in the series and have been a baseball nut and sox fan the whole time. My son is now almost 20. He frikkin drove to detroit and back for the division clincher. He is now down at Comiskey relishing. He says the whole area is lit up with TV camera lights.

Fireworks are going off all over.........

Chicagoland has long suffered dismal baseball. We now have a winner.
Truth be told, I'm a die-hard CUBS fan. It's the ONLY thing I agree with George Will on! My Dad was a SOX fan. He would dig this.

Anyway, when the SOX go back to the Series next year, the CUBS will beat them in 7, in the 9th inning! It will be an awesome RED LINE Series.
