Lattes? Gasoline? Xmas Shopping? Movies? Food?

1. Cigarettes, buying "fun" clothes.
I rarely go out to eat, and I don't drive any more than I have to-- fifteen dollars of gas lasts me about a week. I'm paring back a bit accross the boards, in general.

4. I'm lucky
I live in the south. Today I still have my a/c running. I may need heat by Feb. for a day or 2.

7. Running around the house with street clothes on...
...our stategy is that we will all wear jackets, sweaters, blankets, jams and robes and slippers. Living in So Cal, we prob won't have to turn the heat on at all, this way.

6. Lattes, gourmet coffee, going out to eat...
We also took out a home equity loan and had the 35 yr old single paned windows replaced and had the house re-insulated. The thermostat will be set far lower than we have in the past and we're planning on using the fire place a lot more.

10. heat, actually
I will dress warm, use a lot of covers. Fortunately, I'm living in a situation where I can do that with ease.

11. I am fortunate
I will probably have the money to pay my heating bill BUT I DON'T WANT TO. So, I'm setting the central heat thermostat on 55 - 60 and plugging in a portable electric heater in the room where I spend most of my time and sleep.

13. nothing.
I signed a contract last June. $129 a month for ten months. I heat and cook with LP. Contracts are the only way to go. If the prices go up, I don't pay any higher than what I contracted. If the prices go down, I pay the lower price. I only have to use what I have contracted for, and if I go over, then I pay the extra in next year's contract.

I will (for a change) actually be paying less than I have for the past few years, which generally ran $200-$300 per month.

19. Looks like I'll be giving up Blue-Jay
:P

That's OK. I don't think I could have held out much longer myself, but, you never cleaned the filters. I trust it's working OK. I always worry about the first start of the season.
