Since you're in Seattle, it's a very good thing that you like the rainy and windy days too...Since you have so many of those......

The type of day I really love is one during winter...

The sun is out, the wind is sharp off the water, and no-one is on the beach......the little white-caps are ruffling and you can see Santa Catalina Island sharply outlined on the horizon....

17. Hi, babe!

I'm not hung over. At a certain point last night, I quit drinking alcohol and began slamming massive amounts of water. Best way to avoid a hangover (which is brought about by dehydration, anyway).

I talked to my Dad's wife today; he is doing much better and may be moved out of intensive care next week. He is on Coumadin to try and get the thrombosis in his leg to break up. He is eating well and getting rest. Thanks for caring. :-)

There are a few small beaches around my province, but it's hard to get the chance to go (especially when the weather only gives a really small timeframe).

I've always wanted to try surfing, actually, but the rarity of good spots, and the weather, like I mentioned, make that a little tricky. I need to get my ass to Cali, I think.

of the fireworks at the U of A vs Purdue football game.
Then I captured frame grabs at regular intervals.
The I made a .gif using JASC Animation shop.

are little white shorebids that usually run in flocks... in and out of the waves.

Whimbrels are much bigger, brown, and have long, curved bills.
