Anodyne's not bad either.

I loathe loathe loathe Starbucks, and have no love for whatever it is they sell at Koppa's (which, for all I know, could be Anodyne, but I've never gotten a good bag of beans there).

We have Arabica (Ar-ah-BEE-cah... :eyes:), which is ok. I hear Phoenix is better but I've not checked it out yet.

Dunkin Donuts and Honeydew Donuts are the most consistently good coffees in the area. Green Mountain Coffee is good too, but some of their blends are downright atrocious.

For home brewing, I also like Community Coffee, a brand from Louisiana. There are a couple of good, independently owned coffee shops that I like to go to, one in Lockhart and one near where I work. They both serve some good Joe, but I have no idea where they buy their beans from.

I do notice a difference between home ground and pre-ground coffee... That said, Melitta brand coffee (ground in the can) is indistinguishable from Gevalia home ground (all except dark roast) or 8 O'Clock coffee home ground.

Don Francisco coffee isn't bad either.
