3. Yeah, the highs and lows were amazing today
First the bus accident.

Then my daughter (and in turn my husband and I) were invited to a birthday party for one of my daughter's preschool friends. The family that threw the party is fairly well off, and they had pony rides for the kids. It was really fun, but the accident was nagging at the back of my mind the whole time.

I'm up because I've done my sleeping, and am now awake!

So, since I couldn't sleep any more, I thought I'd come into the Lounge and see what sort of trouble I could get into......

I've done a lot of sleeping today. Not so tired, and thankfully, not as grumpy as yesterday. I have hope that I'll get all my work done before conference (Oct. 30).

How's Winston, the wonder-pup doing? :)

30. Shitty ex called me today.
Because he's a fat, disgusting, abusive, psychotic asshole. Who is supposed to be teaching back East. I guess he hasn't finished screwing up the lives of his breeding partners out here yet. Taking the call was not an option--something that has left me feeling as depressed as I did the last time I realized how much that abuse took out of my life. I'll never get closure there and it makes me want to rip someone's head off. That's kinda made sleep impossible.

31. Do you have a picture of him?
Even if you don't, draw a picture of him, then rip it up in several pieces, set the pieces on fire, then flush the ashes down the toilet. Then say out loud, "I am through with you." :)

32. I'll try that. I've tried just about every other "ritual" I can think of,
shy of outright hexing. Nobody in my neck of the woods will consent to doing that. Sometimes I just want to scream, "what kind of witches ARE you?!"

Alright, one last time: FAT. DISGUSTING. MISOGYNIST. PIECE. OF. SHIT.

Ahem. Oh, yeah: and people who treat their so-called partners like walking uteri and then abandon them when they find out they can't have kids? Go to a painful hell dimension the likes of which I might not even wish on Cheney at this point. Oh, wait...yes I would.

And now, maybe I will cry some more.

Fat pig.

33. Honey...

All that stuff you just said about him is true, right? Then get out there and celebrate! Because THAT assh0le is no longer YOUR assh0le!

Okay, and remember... no matter how bad they hurt you, if you walk away with CLASS... they will ALWAYS come back. Got it? Always. ALWAYS.

THEN you can decide whether you really want them back after all, OR ... you get the satisfaction of dumping their ass. It's all good!

34. Normally, I feel decent about the way the situation ended...
sort of...I got out with my life and most of my health. Sort of. It's just that I've been feeling vulnerable this week as the result of some family issues (parent and grandparent both dying) and--he fucking calls me? After I had that Sherrif's deputy remind him not to do that? WTF? This is really most of the last of the anger, I guess...the remainder won't go away, well, ever, I suppose. As for leaving with class, well, I did (except, he actually left me, so--I dealt with it as best as possible). My feelings about that situation don't have to do with wanting to leave a good/bad impression--it wasn't a regular relationship. He was using me. I'm supposed to be working on trying to forgive myself for not having the option to say, "you're a misogynist piece of shit. Stop looking for a woman to use as your breeding device, go to long-term therapy and fix yourself. That way you won't abuse your children." Not an option, you know? Plus, it wouldn't have helped. But, right now, that self-forgiveness isn't forthcoming.

Yup, he'll be back someday. And when that happens you'll be strong and clearheaded enough to say EXACTLY what needs to be said. It will feel good!

42. Beer? Beer?
This isn't the 'my personal hell' thread.

I did the seven/week for about three years too, but it was only part-time. Still I hated Thursdays, because they were always followed by Fridays. Friday, Saturday, Sunday were 6-7 hour days for me, starting at two in the morning. Then I had a store to run from 9-6.

My paying job was cleaning up a bar - just one more reason to detest beer, but the job had its upside too - no co-workers to deal with, flexible non-rushed hours, and a five CD player. Plus as much free beer as I wanted (which was none, of course).
