1. Nobody
If I don't want to read a thread, I just don't click it. I don't put threads on ignore, either.

4. Can I put my kids on ignore?
Not all of the time, just when they're really rolling tattling back and forth on each other when I'm in the room. I can see everything going on, yet I am provided with a play by play.

Well, I have one remote that's UHF
UHF Pro, to be exact, as I found out after the run from Rita. We lost the satellite remote for the living room. The box in the bedroom runs both TVs, but there's no way to change the channel in the living room without the remote. Dish said $50, but I got one from a local installer for $25.

Maybe I can use the UHF remote to mute the children...I just have to program it to operate them.

The only reason to put somebody on ignore is if they're an incorrigible idiot. Why deprive yourself of the comedy?

8. Can I put the shrub on ignore?
Actually, I've had a few on there, but after a week or two, they come out of "time-out."

And when the craziness of the Song Lyrics threads hit a few weeks ago, I ended up putting all of them on "hide." :hide:

16. i do have some posters on ignore
i never used to. but then i used to spend more time in the lounge...

i think there are 7. when DU goes to DEFCON 3 and i see them in threads it blows my mind! i immediately withdraw from GD and retreat to the lounge - even if only to read and lurk for a bit.

after years on DU i've decided that there are some posters that it is best to ignore. but it took the 2004 primaries to convince me.

21. Just you and that other guy!
Heh heh - no, obviously I don't have you on ignore.

In of all DU, there is only one poster who is (and I will say also very well known) consistently a complete asshole - utterly misreading people's posts, utterly ignoring any facts that get in his way, is abusive and insulting. I can't believe the SOB is still here, but somehow he doesn't get banned.

If I were Skinner, I would ban the fuck out of the asshole.

you can't put posters on ignore, being a goddess among DUers and all - you would still see them and know how many posts they had and when their anniversaries and birthdays were. :P

It would take a LOT for me to feel the need to ignore someone. I think those who go that far end up tombstoned.

29. there's actually
only one poster I really like having on ignore. The other two, I'm not sure when they posted lasted; maybe they're sleeper trolls who haven't got banned yet, and haven't posted lately.

There are an unknown number of people I just don't read 90% of their posts. And almost everyone that I never reply to their posts. :)
