It used to be redder, and has faded somewhat, but I rinse it once a week with henna to keep it on the red side, not strawberry-blonde.

Hi, noonwitch! I'm so glad you mentioned the henna thing. I was looking at henna products the other day as a natural way of returning some color to my sun-bleached red hair (see my photo in reply to Sugar Smack). I've not used any sort of color treatment on my hair in over 15 years, but I get bleached out to a dark strawberry blond in the summer. What does henna really do? Would it dye my hair red? Is there a "natural henna" that doesn't do much?

I'm a bit more blonde than he is though, but there's definitely some strawberryish tendencies with my follicles. I'm holding my youngest son (who also had a bit of reddishness) and you can see the top of Finnfan Jr.'s head who has darker red hair as well(and lots of freckles too). :D

Natural redhead, augmented as time has faded it to a darker reddish brown that I don't like as much. Redhead, freckled, Irish - with a son who tans as dark as an Indian in the summer, blond, big brown Italian eyes - go figure!
