Marvin became a hunter last night.
I heard him chattering and yowling in my office, so I went to see what was going on.. he had a tiny little lizard under his foot, and was a bit flummoxed about what to do next..

I scooted the lizard away from my desk so it would not crawl under there and die..then i put marvin out of the office..

The lizard looked ok, so i scooped him up and let him go in the back yard..

For the rest of the evening, Marvin was in "hunter-mode"..

Everything was prey.. a fluff of cat hair by the baseboard, an errant rubber band in the hall,a wandering ant on the floor, a bottle cap under the table..

he is now attacking anything and everything ..

boys !!!

1. At least he didn't bring you a bird
I'm scared to death of dead things, and my cat insists on bringing me dead things as presents.

Never when S.O. is home - always when I'm home alone. Maybe she's worried I'll starve or something.

Aren't pets wonderful?

2. My babies are insiders..
The last time they touched the outside was on the day their momma dropped them on the dirt..still in their sacs.. then she high-tailed it.. I fed them their first meal, and they are permanent insiders:)

3. Ours lays in front of the door and wails
We never wanted to leave her outside, but after she did this for several days, we bought her a collar and a bell, and now she's outside a few hours each weekend, and 1-2 hours a few nights a week.

She's only been able to catch 2 birds (that we know about) in 4 years (one was alive and uninjured).

We would prefer she stay inside, and she does for much of the winter.
