2. Teaching is a profession and should be paid accordingly
Without teachers, how would all the MDs, lawyers, and any other professionals who are paid well because of their careers have gotten that far without those who took the time to teach them, to introduce them to new ideas, interests and more?

Am a retired educator. Teachers are undervalued in this society.
