Missed it by that much!
How many more DUers feel the need to post that Don Adams has died?

They all seemed to miss the first and most popular (and nominated) post by more than that muich.

(and I didn't post the first one - or any of them for that matter - either)

I still     big-time when reading the news today, though. So please don't peg me as being insensitive.

(but I suspect we'll get DVD releases of "Get Smart" fairly soon now. :eyes: )

1. Sorry about that Chief.
The early B&W episodes are classic TV.

I believe Steve Carrell is starring in the 'Get Smart' movie remake. I actually have some hope for this movie after 'The 40 year old Virgin'.

2. It's like the "First Post!" trend on other boards, only more dysfunctional

3. I grew up on that show...
when I was like 8 to 12, every Saturday night it was "must see tee vee!" indeed!

My favorite memory was the episode with Larry Storch as the groovy psychedelic dee jay, who was actually an agent of KAOS; who captured Agents Smart and 99, who were trying to thwart their evil mind control plan of having the hottest rock band of the time, the Sacred Cows, broadcast their subliminal messages of "Thrill thrill thrill! Kill kill kill!" over the air...

That was the utmost of my many memories of Don Adams..

Yerbi, rest in peace...

6. My fave involved the League of Imposters
I think that's what they were called (season 2 episode).

That and the NBC finale (season 4 2-part finale) was another fave.

I also love the first season episode featuring The Claw. Very "politically incorrect", and so much the better because the jokes come off rather better than other shows trying to be P.I.

And the one where the Max and 99 are in a toy shop; great satire commentary at the end...

I'm also one of the 8 people on this world who loved the 1995 continuation of the series. O8)

5. It gets very annoying when people keep posting the same shit
especially big news like this, and it's clearly obvious they didn't bother to check if someone posted the goddamn thing.

News of someone's death - more than likely, you aren't gonna be the first one. DO A SEARCH PEOPLE!!!!

For fuck's sake.

And even if you don't have a star, if it's BIG NEWS, your search need only consist of - LOOKING AT THE GODDAMN PAGE.

News of Adams' death has not, all day, left the front page.
