I had a great time at the march
It was a beautiful day, peace and love was in the air

Now, I'm sore as shit, but it was well worth it

1. as did I...and i feel the wear and tear myself today
I am not 21 anymore that's for sure.

it was nice seeing you, btw, though our encounter was brief, which is sadly often unvoidable at an event of that magnitude. i was particulary pleased to see the turnout of all the younger folks. Yes there were people from all walks and ages but i noticed a greater participating of the college age crowd at this one. I usually hitch a ride on a bus with the Rhode Island ANSWER people and THIS time around they had damn near triple the amount of buses going down, all filled with college kids from the local colleges.

I am still processing yesterday. I didn't sleep the night before due to travelling to get there and I was kind of overwhelmed by it all. :hi:

4. i was just there for the day also..
I call them "drive by" protests. I travel 6 or so hours on a bus, jump off, shake my fist and holler at the white house for a minute, jump back on the bus and travel 6 or so hours to get home! :P

7. I'm so sorry I didn't get to say goodbye to you!!!
I went to CVS to get some cough medicine and started feeling a bit woozy. I've been hacking like I smoke 3 packs a day (I'm a non-smoker) and my body is worn out.

But I was so glad to meet you. BTW, we all agree that you have an amazing voice. You could read to us from a phone book and we could listen to that voice all day long!

:hi:

12. Aw - that's so kind.
Besides, anyone who has my back when I'm screaming at freepers is okay by me! You would have stopped me from going over the fence, wouldn't you? :P

14. I was there
I was feeling a cold comming on and then I march AND danced till 1am. I'm feeling it all now; sore, sniffly, no voice. But oh so very worth it. One of my best protest experiences

16. Damn, I missed too many people! Met a few DUers at the Hawk/Dove
But it was so crowded too. The march, Oy vey! Hubby and I got to the ellipse pretty early on Saturday but there was so much to photograph, we just got caught up in the excitement. And then suddenly there was no space between bodies, jammed together by the thousands- and I loved it, loved it. Saw a few Duers in the march, saw the great sign with names of absent DUers, Never did meet up with the main group though. It was heavenly to be with so many great people.
