What stuff REALLY annoys the hell out of you?
Really, what stuff annoys you... certain "friends," certain songs, certain actors who can't act, certain politicians (too easy... think of something else...) an false urban legend of urban myth that refuses to go away, a commonly repeated "strange but true fact" that is not true at all, etc, etc, etc, ...

Out with it... the door is open...

What f*cking annoys you to death?

For me...

- People who refuse to admit that they are wrong even when they have been completely refuted.

- People who respond to a certain stated fact by saying "no, I don't think so..."--- and then respond as if you had just stated an OPINION.

- The Urban Legend about the "Twinky Defense." Dan White's attorney never argued that eating Twinkies caused him to commit murder. For more on this, click this link...

http://www.snopes.com/legal/twinkie.htm

- Copying CD's and DVD's and giving them away or downloading for free off the internet IS illegal, whether or not somebody is making money off of it.
Actually, many people do know what they are doing is wrong in illegal- they just don't care.

- Many people say "such and such is a multi-millionaire... why does it matter that I download this for free or get an illegal copy from a friend?" Yes, a lot of musicians are multi-millionaires, but some we think are very wealthy actually struggle week to week and month to month.

- People who think that someone who is an outstanding athlete will be a great coach. Being an athlete in a particular sport and being a coach in that same sport require very different skills.

This is all I can think of at the moment. What do you guys think?

Peace,

1. cell phones...
I have an overwhelming need to grasp those suckers from people's ears and throw them to the ground.

I hate them, they are so misused.

I also hate it when people say "huh", or "eh" or "uh" all the time, learn some manners, I say.

that's it for starters. :)

Oh, about the cell phones, I just love sitting at the front of buses and knowing everything about the life of the guy at the back of the bus because he's yelling into his cellphone.

29. aw Darth have you not heard the infamous Skittles cell phone story?
I'm in line at the store and a lady behind me is yakking on her cell phone about FERTILITY TESTS - the whole bit - semen count, stick test......finally I whirled around and said SO WHY CAN'T YOU HAVE KIDS? IS IT YOU OR IS IT YOUR HUSBAND? She started saying, "I don't think that's any of your......" but I cut her off and yelled THEM STOP TALKING IN MY F***ING EAR. She stomped off and a couple of young guys in line behind her hi-fived each other. I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND - if someone was talking on a pay phone there is no way in HELL it would be proper for me to stand a foot behind them listening but these people on f***ing CELL PHONES think nothing of subjecting me to their personal lives - I tell you Darth I refuse to take it, someone has to teach these assholes some MANNERS.

7. Willful ignorance. The kind of willful ignorance that says learning is
evil; or that says learning is liberal; or that is just too goddamn lazy to learn; or views knowledge with suspicion; that has no interest in the fine arts, whether painting, theater, film, music, etc.; or the kind that says "I know those are the facts, but what I BELIEVE...".

Accidental ignorance - it can be annoying as hell, but it's understandable.

Intentional ignorance - should be sterilized, and moved into a special work camp where they make shit for the 10% of America that ISN'T willfully ignorant.

43. OMG, I totally phrased that wrong--what I meant to say was
that I had a really great HS English teacher (A Pearl Harbor Veteran) who, when a student said Eyetalian, the teacher would make a point of correcting them by saying, "Oh, you mean those people from Eye-taly?"
And then he would proceed to berate them for their ignorant pronunciation. This was a good way to make his students remember the proper pronunciation! Although my posting on the fly DID read as just the opposite!

55. Fussy old people in checkout lines
They're old. They're retired. Shopping is the highlight of their day and they have all day to do it.

They have lengthy conversations with the cashier about the state of her health. They have two dozen coupons, three of which are for items not quite like what they bought and this must be discussed. A box looks a bit bent and someone must be sent to fetch another one. The issue of paper vs. plastic must be debated. The packing of the groceries is supervised in excruciating detail. No matter how small the order, they write a check and they never think to get out the checkbook until the entire order is rung up and the cashier is standing there waiting for payment.

63. TAILGATERS!
Especially when I'm trying to pass in left lane of highway, going above speed limit usually (to get by), and after about 20 seconds of almost ramming me, they swerve into middle lane and pass on the right-just as I'm about to go there to get out of THEIR way. :grr:
Get a clue, tailgaters...if I'm doing 70 and you're hugging my butt-and I have to slow down or stop quickly-there is no room for you-you'll be in my front seat-or rolling over/spinning off the highway. Laws of physics, ya know.
Thanks for letting me vent.

65. Besides the obvious humanitarian failures
of so many people...

...I hate it when someone walks by in a pair of mules clomping all the way down the hall!

66. When traffic on a major highway comes to a complete and total HALT for
absolutely NO REASON. You never pass an accident, you never pass a cop. The traffic just STOPPED. This phenomenom happens ALL...THE....TIME on 76 in Philadelphia. If I get on this road and it DOESNT come to a complete stop (at the same spot all the time too, mind you) then I feel cheated.

67. Stuff that annoys me, both small and not-small...
Blonde jokes

People who are never, ever, ever, EVER wrong

The sentiment that I have to "support the president" to be "true to America."

People who don't understand that, in my view, being "true to America" means NOT supporting the president I believe is destroying it.

The word manscaping.

Excessive house dust.

Forwards of repeatedly refuted urban legends in which the sender swears up and down that they KNOW this person this thing happened to and it's ABSOLUTELY TRUE!!!111!

People who complain a lot about a given situation but do nothing to attempt to change it.
