The dumbest was when the geniuses at CNN decided that to compete with Faux News, they should swing right, in some misguided attempt to gain the irretrievable audience that had already lost.

The smart business move would have been to shift leftward to compete for the audience that would be loathe to watch Faux. Look what happened to their ratings after that!
