1. I watched the emergency landing of the Jet Blue flight on CNN
Before that I watched our local weathermen obsess over the severe thunderstorms/possible tornadoes in the area.

I know, completely enriching...:eyes:

8. I hope you didn't have to put up with David Brooks sans "mute" button.
David Brooks, after all, is the putative world's "mute" button.

5. Bleach
Its anime not broadcast in the US. But its well worth tracking down if you have a pentient for dynamic characters, thoughful plots, and big action.

11. What are some of your favourite anime?
Edited on Wed Sep-21-05 11:24 PM by bixente
Neon Genesis Evangelion, FLCL, Kare Kano, Serial Experiments Lain, GTO, Cowboy Bebop, Fruits Basket, Berserk, Haibane Renmei, Paranoia Agent...so many.

Haven't seen Bleach yet.

NOOOOOOOOO...seriously off-topic.

What I watched tonight? Impossible to answer, for me. What I watched last night: Honey & Clover, Ep. 15. lol

I suppose I should elaborate more on H&C: It is a show about five art students: Takemoto, Mayama, Morita, Yamada & Hagu, and basically follows their lives - at home, at college, ect. It's biggest strength is its ability to juggle both aspects of drama and comedy. Also, it features fantastic music. I'll add more later.

17. I prefer the character driven works
Bleach is excellent. Naruto just started airing on Cartoon Network (though its dubbed and editted). One Piece(note my avatar) is another that is broadcasting in the US but seriously make an effort to find the subtitled version as the dub and editting are really painful in the US released version.

Those are just some and the more recent ones. Bebop and Trigun are recent classics. Ranma 1/2 is an earlier work of the writer behind Inuyash. Both of which are worthwhile. Though Ranma will never make it to the US.

The list goes on and on and on.

20. I heard comments...
that Bleach starts off poorly, but then improves as time goes on. Do you agree with this, or do you think the quality is consistent throughout?

25. Its the new style
The series starts off lite and then ramps up to some pretty serious issues. Trigun set the mold. Goofy beginning leading up to truly deep philosophical issues. Once they set the hooks in the characters they start working on them.

A collection of Middle East newscasts. Hardly a "show". More like seeing what our so-called news won't show.

31. It's on Linktv
I have Directv and it's channel 375. One of the best things on tv.

Yeah, I moved to Oregon, and I would like to make a u-turn back to Calif. Not so easy. Long story. Can't really complain. I'm just not used to living amongst Bush lovers. Makes me gag. I'm spoiled from living near San Fransiskeeeeee.

15. Lost was great
Some guy named Desmond that met Jack in a football stadium back in LA bandaged the boo boo Jack got because he was pushing himself too hard and told Jack the patient that Jack thought he'd fail to heal, might actually very well have been healed by Jack. Then miraculosly despite a broken back which Jack thought he didn't repair well enough, the patient starts to feel her toes moving and sensation in the rest of her legs.

Then this same dude shows up on the Island Jack and the other crash victims landed on, and is now living in the mysterious hatch. Which is in a 60's 70's time warp that has electricity, an apartment area, and some relatively speaking dinosaur computers in another room. Oh he was also holding a gun on Locke and threatining to shoot him, if Jack doesn't drop his own weapon and stay still.

WEIRD. Cool but I want Sawyer back.

It was everything I thought it would be and more.

Really I just liked seeing her horses in the opening credits, and I think she rocks.

29. Sorta watched Martha
Not really into those shows, but hubby is. He is also a fan of "Lost", and they had that background of the character's show on before Lost, so I taped Martha for him. One good thing -- the person I took an instant dislike to was fired! Woo hoo!

30. Yeah I didn't like him, either.
What an obnoxious jerk. I also don't like the other guy who was one of the 3 in the boardroom at the firing (he made the comment, "you don't control ME, I control YOU!").

I always get suckered into these kinds of shows and can already tell I am going to be a fanatic very soon... :P
