I hope Maggie wins-she was easily the better player of the two. Ivette was just brought along to cast off later and she ended up in the final two. Her commentary on Friday as the wise woman of the house was hilarious. Oh well they got there.

1. I stopped watching Big Brother

a few episodes ago after it was clear that the final two would be from the creepy friendship cult. That was the most unwatchable Big Brother season. But, since one of them has to win, I hope it's Maggie. Ivette is an asshole.

Man everyone LOVES that guy. Both for looks and just in general.

Apparently he had a role on "The Young and the Restless" already.

I said this before-don't be shocked if April or Jennifer end up suing over how they were presented and the deals they were cut off from. Seriously my wife and I have been talking about that for weeks now. I would not be surprised. It was amazing how GREAT they thought they were. Too funny.

According to someone covering the livefeeds, one of them, I think it was April, once asked Maggie during a heated discussion "Are they recording this?" Duh. Anyone that stupid might not have realized she signed away her rights to sue if she isn't aware they're taping her every move on BigBrother. Did she not know what she was getting into?

since most of the hatred came not from the show but from the live feeds. They can say all they want but they were both awful people. They volunteered to have their lives taped 24/7 for 3 months. They should have known better.

And JBlo shared the details on the stuffed animal and the "activities" in college. Her fault.

The thing about the "Friendship" that gets me is this. Eric picked them because they were votes period that is it. Easily the weakest players (maybe ever) but they get to vote. He was planning on using them to get he and Maggie along and then dump them. They literally were carried past being picked off simply because Eric* put them together otherwise they would have been drooling at the mouth and walking in circles in the backyard until they got wedged in a corner.

*-Eric came off as a a-hole but I have read here on DU that he read James the riot act about the war in Iraq and that Kaysar took James to the side and explained what has really happened to the people or Iraq. Eric is a union guy.

45. Funny that is how Richard Hatch won the first Survivor

there was a blonde guy who apparently hated being on the show and was edited around. He was wearing a #9 jersey and asked Richard and ____ to pick number between 1 and 10. Richard picked 8(the guy was wearing a BIG #9 jersey) she picked 7 and the number was later revealed to be...... 9. Richard won by one vote.

It looks like it's going to be a good season, too. I really liked the first episode and I usually find first episodes of the season boring. I'm glad they didn't have two people pick tribes, or split the tribes by men and women, and just got right down to things with a major challenge. Survivor premiers were starting to get tedious.

I love the start of these shows (the good ones....Big Brother too) because it is so funny to imagine what they will look like at the end and how they will get to the end.

Last week when Susie went home instead of MiG, I think I said some words I haven't said in a loooonnnnnggggg time, LOL.

Marty is too hardcore for INXS--he looks to me like he didn't even really like them until this show started. I see him taking his "patiently controlling" personality solo. And I don't think it was cool of him to say no one cares about albums anymore, just singles. Granted, I think his personality fits more with INXS though...older mature guy...very smart...but his song Trees is too cute and boring. The forest will give us the answers? What?

MiG. UGH!!! ##*(#$(*@#$(*@#$*!!! He is NOT A ROCK SINGER!!!!!!! He's perfect for Broadway, which is where he was before (musical theater), and if the show is any indication, that's it for his music background. He's like an Australian Clay Aiken. Don't even...don't even get me started, LOL. When he played his (boring) song for his departed friend and laid it on thick that INXS should appreciate it too....disgusting, and I am sure he's too nice of a guy to understand how disgusting it was. And him singing "Live and Let Die"....just...ugh.

JD is the only logical choice as far as music goes. Pretty Vegas sounds like an INXS song. His musical style seems to go best with INXS' catalog. He's just so obviously the best fit. Granted, his attitude may cause them concern. And that is a big issue and I'd see Marty winning because of it.

I think the serious competition is between Marty and JD tonight. MiG! *&#@&!!!

Mig...he looks a LOT like William Defoe ("Platoon" etc) doesn't he? They seem to have softened the lines on his face recently.

Sus was doing good but a female lead singer of INXS? I always assumed the women were doomed. Unfair? Yes but that is how it is.

As I said above I think they really wanted Mig from the beginning but he really hasn't done very well recently. I think that JD is their smartest choice I just don't see the maturity in Marty (see his bio somewhere above) even though he has lots of experience.

Either way lots of people will buy the new album and go to see their tour and they get to cash checks 10 years after their run should have been over.

I have to say that they house band is damned good-to my ear. When INXS did get on stage they looked awkward and sounded flat.

You've got to capitalize the G, that's the "cool" thing about MiG, LOL. :eyes: He looks like Willem with a bird chest (and sweet jeebus he ripped his shirt. What is this? 1987?).

I didn't think Susie would win (I hated her Bohemian Rhapsody), but she's got a better voice and isn't as #$@@!!! as MiG is. That makes sense what you're saying, that they wished he'd done better, as he's an Aussie and all. And he wasn't ever in the bottom three (WHY?!), so in that way I kind of getting it.

You're right about the house band vs. INXS, and that's precisely *why* they need to go with JD. INXS look like a bunch of old, uncool dudes (though, I've gotten to like them more watching the show, especially that one guy...and that other guy. LOL.)--they really need a young, WOW factor. I don't see that with Marty. With Marty I see them *trying* to be relevant again... with JD I think they have a fighting chance.

Brooke Burke's part could have been done by any woman in the audience. Why does she have a career?
