a faint fragrance of pear, a hint of earthy saltiness, getting slightly runny on the white butcher paper; fresh, hand made this morning rustic raisin bread, sliced thin, smeared with a great lump of said cheese; the raisins bring out the flavor of the cheese, suddenly.. it's just not the same on a piece of plain baguette.
fresh black grapes, bursting with deep, deep flavor, warm from the sun, picked this morning sitting here on my table for lunch, along fresh pressed apple juice. I could smell the grapes as I passed the table and couldn't resist.
I couldn't resist any of it.
If I had my cork screw, I'd have had a local white wine along with this nirvana... but it's on a truck somewhere near Paris.
*sigh*
