a little lark and the machete-wielding lunatic.....
I posted yesterday about the (blood-covered) machete - wielding lunatic in my neighborhood.

Now I find out one of the people he 'machete'ed' was an elderly woman I have known for 13 or so years. She's nice enough if you ignore her racism and bushbotness... honestly, she is. Her husband recently died. Her son (the only sex-offender in the database w/in 1/4 mile of me) followed the guy w/ a pellet gun after his mother was attacked.

WITH the blood covered machete he walked up to a construction site and inquired about employment.

2. I never thought about it in that way....
He would certainly be good at clearing away overgrown bamboo - just stick some cut-out pics of human heads here and there.}(

5. At least 2
He was waaay whacked out on something (must have been). When he was in our driveway Thor (our Bl. Lab. - Boxer X) went ballistic w/ the barking - he is generally a sedate dog.

Gotta tell ya - this was sooo waaaay weird that I am at a loss for words.

4. Yikes!
life was a little edgy from time to time when I lived in East Palo Alto (including one murder across the street) but this far tops anything I experienced in the four years I lived in EPA.

It is freaky when it happens so close. I am so glad that you didn't run across this guy while he was rampaging. Glad you are okay - even if very shaken.

6. Only a little shaken - mostly freaked out.
How often does one run across a lunatic w/ a bloody machete?

But then how often does a country allow an entire city to be decimated when it could have prevented ALMOST all of the devestation w/ a phone call or two?

I feel like LA LA land is reality.
