4. I assume you all know about the Alt-Tab thing for switching apps
(Alt-Shift-Tab does the same thing in reverse order).

Windows-E quickly opens the Windows Explorer for browsing your files.

9. Alt-Tab is essential when on D.U. at work.
If somebody comes you can hit it quickly - appearing to be typing, and jumping to whatever you're supposed to be doing in the first place.

Not that I condone such behaviour.

Also, and in the same vein, if you have more than one spreadsheet open in excel, or more than one document in Word Ctrl-Tab switches through those.

5. Ctrl + F
It opens a "Find" window so you can search for a word or phrase in the page you are viewing. Sometimes when I'm doing a search for something, I will get a huge page and certainly do not want to take the time to read the whole page trying to find what I was searching for in there.

Very handy.

:)

13. Buy a mouse with more buttons.
My Logitech mouse has three extra buttons on the sides. They are programmed cycle me through my open windows, minimize everything, and minimize current window. I have an alt configuration that fast-switches them to Cup/Copy/Paste.

It's much faster than KB shortcuts.
