If I still lived in Pittsburgh I could hop in the car and go, but it's a little more challenging to get there from Dallas. Besides, my husband is working on an application for a major research award which is due October 1st and wants me here for moral support. SIGH. I'll be looking forlornly through the window at all the kids outside having fun!
I think that was mentioned on the UPJ page. Usually there are always protests on the West Coast when DC/NYC is having them on the East Coast and they get great turnout too!
11. Why don't you see if there is a bus group coming from your area?
Many of the East Coast major cities have buses heading in for the protest. If I wasn't going for the weekend I know I'd be on our peace bus out of Northern Delaware. They're such great trips to take!
but it was chargin like $100 each and I had all this money set aside for it and then Katrina hit and gas jumped up to like 3.49 over here and all that extra money I had saved for the trip I had to use on gas.

1. Gas is too expensive. 2. It's my anniversary weekend. 3. I'm low on funds. 4. Lynne Sin does not find me yummy on the grounds of my contempt for a particular seminal British rock band of the 70's.
