They are running some 9/11 stuff on PBS right now and it still seems so surreal.

To be honest, the Katrina footage is just as, if not more, surreal to me. What a fucked up decade so far.

James and Ben Taylor sang "America The Beautiful" at the US Open, and it was so simple in its majesty (unlike the Jessica Simpson-Nick Lachey cheesefest for the NFL). I commented during it that Bush had turned everything about this country to shit.

2. And it's not as much about patriotism as it is the people in this country

I don't get all choked up over America as land, water, mountains, flags, songs or anything like that, but there are so many great people that live in this country.

georgie has torn this country to shreds and still has the balls to giggle about it every time he is speaking. And the 30% or whatever it is that still supports him make me ill. It has nothing to do with political parties at this point, it's the man himself. He is a pathetic excuse for a human and a "leader". he has done NOTHING for the benefit of this country and the future of this country and it is obscene that he still has people that think he is worth a shit.
