For those of you that were in rock bands in your younger days......
What were the band names?

Mine:
1) Grub Worm
2) Biscuit Head Love Train
3) Gravel
4) Alcohol

Oh yeah, what did you "do" in the band? I played the drums.

4. Cool names,
Hope you are well, have not talked to you in while. I have not forgot about the cd that I promised to send you. I am waiting until it is "officially" released, which is soon, so you can play a tune or two on your show.

Regarding one of my old bands, Biscuit Head Love Train, we would always bake biscuits the night before a show, write messages on them, and then throw them at the audience, gently of course.

Mine has, although I stay up quite late on the weekends. By the way I have two extra tickets to the Son Volt show in Asheville NC. My brother and his wife can't go, get on your jet and fly down.

Hopefully will find a job in the area, but still live out in the sticks, I gotta have my space and don't mind the commute to work. I live over 30 miles from current job so looking for about the same distance.

I've fallen flat-out, madly in love w/ Canada; I think I was meant to move up here even if I had never met my wife. I've lived all over the US, and although I'll always love my big, beautiful mess of a country despite who's in charge now, this feels like the home I've been looking for all my life..

I actually kinda get off on living in an area that I am outnumbered. I just look at the conservatives around here and go "Boo." Asheville on the other hand is one of the most liberal cities in the south that I have ever visited.

They were trying to be metal and I was channelling Stevie Knicks - not a good match.

27. two bands
and one art ensemble of sorts...

Toxic Shock was the first one and
Bone of Contention was the one I was in for a decade until I had a kid.
Purple Lady Arts Ensemble was the other one, more a dance and music collective.

All had several women in them.

I played the drums mostly, since no one else wanted to, but I also played occasional keyboard, guitar and bass. :)

When you were in Johnnie and the Commodes, did you yourself go by the name "Johnnie Commode?" If not, wasted opportunity, man.

Still a hilarious band name, though, big ups.

When I'm in even a small group of people, it's tough to make out what the person in front of me is saying -- I've noticed a definite drop-off in lower-end frequencies. :(

Bands:
1) The Yeomen
2) Fear Itself
3) Parchman Farm
which became...
4) The Farm

Lead vocals, guitar, slide guitar, blues harp. Still play blus harp today!

42. So many... where to start?
I've been playing in groups for 20+ years, and there's too many to name. Here's the most recent.

Mr. K (current band-- guitar, vox, keys, songwriting, occassional bass, etc.)
Mr. K's Dream (previous incarnation of current band-- with different drummer)
Deadbeat Generation (guitar, vox, keys, bass, songwriting)
Nowhere (guitar, vox)
Risqué (keys, guitar, backing vox)
The Statues (guitar, keys, backing vox)
Rub the Buddha (guitar, vox)
Joshua's Sword (a joke band-- Christian Fundie Death Metal-- guitar, vox)

That's the only ones I can remember. There have been countless others that didn't last long enough to get proper names, and a couple stints backing solo artists, too.
