9. Fuller bodied - very strong
I would say equally great, but different - just avoid the last sip of the last cup, due to the sediment.

It might be an acquired taste if used to a drip maker.

It only cost $15, so it was well worth the experiment.

12. I prefer these:

Put it on the stove filled with water and coffee grounds, and in four minutes or so you have great-tasting coffee.

15. Is that a percolator?
I remember one we had many many years ago... I used to watch for the water to bubble up in the lid knob.

It was electric though, not a stove-top job. Now I am curious to try one again.

23. They're my favourite too.
Though I have an assortment of different ones including caffetieres (alias French press), and a one-cup filter which I have at work with me (only instant provided in most British offices :( ).

16. I have always done well with drip makers
My old one was in need of retirement after years of faithful service, and I want to wait until we settle into a new house before I buy one again. I like the really high-end ones with bells and whistles.

But in transition, didn't want to get by on instant coffee, and this seemed like a cheap and elegant solution.

21. Cool! They make the best coffee
Mine busted. But it's time to get another.

You know if you can heat water ( Coleman stove or Sterno), you can have coffee even without power, oh Californian! :hi:

We're just south of where it happened. :D

We have propane camping equipment if such a thing should occur. My French Press will be ready to serve. :patriot:

24. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm is right!
French Presses make kickass coffee, and they piss off Freepers! :D I broke my big Bodum one :( but found a little personal one at a yard sale, I have yet to use it though. I usually just let my drip Krups machine do the coffeemaking.

I really want a Rancilio Sylvia espresso machine and Rocky grinder, but don't have $700 to dump into a home espresso bar. Smaller boiler but same pump and head as their commercial units...mmmmmmmm...double ristretto comin' up! :D
