GREATEST Rivalry In The HISTORY of Sports - Yankees vs. Sox
i'm an old Skins fan from birth. USED to think Skins vs. Cowboys was the best.

even in their PRIME that rivalry didn't COMPARE to Yankees vs. Red Sox

NOT.EVEN.CLOSE.

i will wager that THIS is the greatest. Of all time. PERIOD.

1. At this moment in the rivalry, I agree
The two best teams in baseball over the past decade, and they share a division.

3. Skins/Boyz has sucked in recent years also, because the Boyz have
mostly owned the Skins, much to my dismay.

Weird rivalry. I think one of the Skins best years, one of their Super Bowl win years, one of their few losses was like the only win the Boyz had during their 1-15 year with young Troy Aikman, if I remember correctly.

8. And you would be correct...
I remember going around that whole next off-season thinking things weren't so bad because at least the Cowboys beat the Redskins. 1-15 wasn't so bad given that 1. :)

7. Hey...at least you married the opposition...
I won't even speak to people who went to Oklahoma.

Texas vs. OU has gotta be up there too.

15. The team names alone describe the cultural rivalry
Edited on Fri Sep-09-05 11:03 PM by sasquatch
They might as well be called the Frogs vs the Beavers.

18. Packers vs Bears
The oldest rivalry in the NFL. Not as good these days, but that will change eventually.

19. Since I enjoy tennis, I'd like to mention John McEnroe and Bjorn Borg, and
also Jimmy Conners and John McEnroe. Haven't really seen any rivalries in tennis since them, and the sport has sort of suffered because of it.
