and it's disappeared. Like vanished. Not where it was. And it's a straight, late model Acura. And the cops just caught a guy who stole two Acuras from this hood earlier today.

And I have no contact # for him. And I can't reach anyone in his family. Who own the building I live in.

Bummer.

3. I dunno
I walked all over looking for it- about a mile and a half. That's when I ran into the cops and they told me about the suspect.
I left a message on the manager's phone and the owner's phone. But they are all such world travelers.

I was going to try to see if it was towed (not from this hood, I'dve seen the tag; I walk the dog past it every day) but you have to call to tow trolls who are responsible for the area the car was found in. and the list goes on. I don't know if it was joy ridden or taken to strip.

Or if it was taken. I don't know if he forgot to tell me that his daughter might borrow it.

PS. Thanks for caring, JJ. :pals:

4. I really hope the daughter borrowed it! That wouldn't be very cool
to come home from Europe and have your car stolen. :(

Keep me posted.

And, you are certainly welcome.

6. No, I can't
I don't know if it is stolen or borrowed. It's like the cop said "We don't want to be taking a friend or family member out of the car at gun point."

I wouldn't want them doing that either. The family owns the building I live in and have been very kind to me.

10. yeah this is the first time I have taken care of something
and it appeared to be FUBAR. I emailed him, but he's in the Netherlands and they're 8-9 hours ahead of us here so I don't know if he'll get it tonight-He's visiting his brother and now his sister knows, and I can reach them if I don't hear from him, I can contact them.

I'm taking another walk in a bit after I run some Hijackthis stuff-then I see if I'm wrong. But I think it's gone.

13. Found it!
About a half a mile away from where it was after he left. Still waiting to find out if he forgot to tell me he lent it to someone...
He is very spacey.

14. How long does it take to drive to Europe?
No, really, when my daughter and I were in LA a 16 year old girl asked my daughter that question.

Contact the police anyway.
When were you suppose to move it after he left?
How long has it been sitting in one location and not been moved?

15. I don't know
I can't tell the cops anything. If he gave someone else permission to use it, then it was never stolen. I have walked past that spot several times since it disappeared, specifically looking for his car. I can't swear it WASN't there, but I can't say it was there either. I do think I would have noticed it. I was just there last night.

Yes he gave me the keys Monday and asked if I would move his car every 72 hours. I spotted it the day after he asked me (the day he left) and then when I went to move it two days later, poof! it was gone...
