4. Mrs E and I want to get another kitty, too
But our kitty would have a cow, so......

Get a Rescue from The Humane Socirty if you can; you won't regret it..

5. I came close, but decided I need more time.
I'm still mourning Roo - and realized that getting another cat would not necessarily make me miss him less.

Q: how do you know when you're ready? We need a male around here to balance out the estrogen.

7. This last weekend I just lost Spice
A half breed siamese. He was my best bud. He left his sister Sugar and his friend Trini behind. I miss him so...
Already I want another. Spice's love will never be replaced, but the love I have to share can be given to help the life of another.

9. I'm sorry
It's heartbreaking. We lost Mrs. E's 17 year old kitty on the one year anniversary we were together; I loved that kitty more than most humans...

And helping the life of another kitty is absolutely correct; you'll know when it's time to have another kitty choose you:)

10. That's so true, thats how I got my new cat.
There is an old saying "If you are meant to have it you will receive it, and you will receive it when you are ready".

This has always worked for me.

My little cat has brought a lot of joy.

6. Get a rescue kitty from a shelter, KitchenWitch....
...you'll be doing good, and it will love you forever. We have three. Two were strays, and one was from a shelter. We love them all.

12. I had a cat named Tinky.
16-years old when she passed of renal failure six years ago. She was the best, the smartest cat ever. I have her ashes on my desk.

My new boy is named Renfield, 5 months old now. I've posted his picture here before. He brings me "gifts" - rocks, leaves, dead plants, and once the sink stopper from the laundry room - and drops them at my feet.

Even if our pets are no longer with us, we keep them in our hearts always.

Best wishes in your new critter.

14. Go for it!
When we adopt a brother for the Wiley and Excellent Boy Cat Named Ginger, we plan to name him Lasa.

Go for it, KW!

15. Don't do it.
I've got 2 cat's driving me nuts. As I'm typing this one is still as skitzy as the day he got left here by my daughter. Sweet coal black, and determined to eradicate my house of bugs that aren't there. Try sleeping when the cat continues to jump at the ceiling over and over, and lands on your head at 3:00am. The older on is content to fufill his life long dream of becoming a Holstein. I try to support his dreams but his weight on my lap makes my feet numb. Get a dog.
