How reliant are you on the Internet?
Damn. I use it daily in my job to conduct research. With it, I spy on people (mostly reverse phone number and google searches). I get my news and sports. I use it for the TV Guide. Entertainment. Checking out movies & shit. E-mails to clients. Complaints to government officials and corporations. Banking on line! Paying bills on line!

I mean, I'm defnilly spending too much time in a chair! I've even purchased things like electric razors and shirts over the web.

What will happen if it all comes crashing down?

Please, God, don't make me go to a real library, make me write checks, or mail letters, etc. . . . .

7. For someone like me, a disable person, the internet
has been a god send....

It has become my main contact with the outside world...

Of course I get around a lot, but there are times when I just can;t go out and if it wasn't for the net, Well I'd be forced to watch fucking Dr. Phil......

14. Damn, I am sorry
Breathing better now, I hope.

BTW I was very pleasantly surprised that there was very little smoking at the Stones concert...I caught a whiff once of ciggy smoke and only a couple of times of the sweet weed....I was amazed.

15. Howdy KW
:hi: unfortunately, I emit some of that ciggy smoke, but I'm trying not to offend. As for the sweet weed, I'm looking forward to retirement in 15 yrs. No pee tests:evilgrin:

16. I have no issue with smokers who are considerate about it
I have asthma and radiation fibrosis of the lungs, so smoke really bothers me...

I was expecting to come out of the Stones show smelling like I was at the bar for 5 hours...but I did not :7

As far as the sweet weed goes, I do not mind the smell of that...but it does affect my lungs as well, in high concentrations.

8. How dependant am I ? You have to ask, my dear Floogeldy?
Just kidding...

I am extremely dependant on the internet...maybe not to the extent that you are...but...

I WOULD DIE WITHOUT MY DU...It's almost that bad for me...

I would rather give up watching TV than not have the internet...

:kick:

13. With the DSL
it's on all the time. I do rely on it for a lot, but at the same time, I know it's more accurate for news and weather.

I use it to look up phone numbers and locate stores and specialty places, as well as all the regular stuff, so yeah, I rely on it A LOT.

17. Odd.. I pay my bills with it..
But I could easily go without.. I actually went for about 6 months without a few years ago.. I actually enjoyed it. I enjoy my online life but I forget to go out and have a real one. If my job didn't rotate around the internet I think I could give it up. It would suck but quitting smoking would suck more.

19. I love and need the Internet
When I take classes I do them online.
I spend my "downtime" at work online quite often, unless I feel the need to take a break from the computer and read or do other stuff.
I pay my bills online.
I do research (professional, educational and fun).
I e-mail my mom and sisters.
I renew my library books (much easier than actually going to the library or using their funky phone renewal system), and I can check for and reserve books as well.
I buy stuff, get plane tickets, rent hotel rooms, etc.
I DU!

Yeah, I need the Internet.
