..that decade ol' relic laptop I retired....BUT they were both gifts and I've only had to pay 35 bucks on a modem after a storm killed it..and for internet access...electronic hand-me-downs are the best gifts to get...'cuz now I get to hang with you awesome people... :smoke: :hi:
"From the end of post to active and ready window" Does this mean from powered off to completed desktop and ready, or are you talking about just here on DU. The time it takes my comp. to bring up a posting window?
I know, I know...I just got up so I may need to have some more coffee before I post. :hi:
13. go to "start" ...."run"...type in "msconfig"...
When the "System configuration screen" pops up, click on the far right tab "start-up" ...click on "disable all" (don't worry..your firewall will turn itself back on at start-up)..click "apply".."OK"
start computer again and when the box pops up click "Don't show screen again... That's it.
