Anheuser-Busch Donates Canned Water for Hurricane Katrina Relief

In Response to Relief Agency Requests, Anheuser-Busch Ships 12,500 Cases of Canned Drinking Water to Support Relief Efforts

MONTGOMERY, Ala., Aug. 28 -- While Gulf Coast residents brace for the arrival of Hurricane Katrina, Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc. is preparing to supply emergency drinking water immediately after the storm.

At the request of the Red Cross and Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, Anheuser-Busch is shipping 12,500 cases of drinking water (300,000 cans) to Montgomery, Ala., to wait until Katrina passes through the Gulf Coast.

The company then will ship the water to relief agencies in Louisiana and Mississippi, and it is prepared to send additional water if needed.

2. They did this in 1997 for the Grand Forks flood as well.
Those water bottles were MOST appreciated by the sandbaggers AND the displaced. I hope more big companies open up their wallets and hearts as well.
