Anyone else watch MI-5 last night on A&E?

I enjoyed it. Wasn't too bad at all for the first episode of a new show. IT will probably end up being a lot of "been here done this before" episodes, but the "Brit" spin could make it very interesting. Particularly if they can hold it together and and it dosen't become too "American".

Is this the first episode ever or the first episode for an American audience? By that I mean, has this been an ongoing show in England that has just been shipped here for the first time?

...it was the first episode ever. Could be wrong though. Great, now I have to go looking on the web and find out. :P

3. LOL, sorry...

I kinda got the impression it was the first one too--hence the expository scene where the woman was explaining what the MI was.

The only thing I really didn't like about the show was the main character's relationship with the single mother--I found that whole thing creepy. Like when she runs into the room and he's buttoning his pants after fucking her mother. It's gross. Hopefully, they will end that quickly.

4. That part didn't bother me.

I did notice it, but didn't have any problems with it. It isn't like they were havign ex and didn't stop when the kid ran in. *shrug* My opinion is that it shows a healthier and more mature view on sex and human relations.

5. I guess it depends on your definition of "healthy"...

I don't think it's healthy for a single mother of a 6 (?) year old girl to be having random men staying over at her house and allow her child to enter the room any time she wants. But that's just me.

6. IMHO...

Better to be "normal" about things than to somehow "show" your children that sex adn normal adult relationships are something to be ashamed about. THat's jsut me though. I know a lot of people who don't agree with me.

8. I am not sure if this is the first episode

After watching last night's episode, I got the feeling that we missed some important background information. It might be because they cut ten minutes out of the episode for commercials. 7. yep, and loved it...

...great look and feel -- hope there is enough interest to keep it going and move it in some intesting directions. Also, IMHO the lead character, Matthew/Tom is a hottie!
