115. You can only ban AeroShit, not AeroSmith
There's a definite difference. Aerosmith was a rock band that wrote their own songs (mostly) and made some of the best albums of the 70's. AeroShit was a top 40 band of the late 80's and early 90's that shared songwriters with Michael Bolton and Celine Dion, and made music every bit as bad as either of them.

20. And to think those guys are from Canada!
I always thought of the Canadian culture as being more enlightened than ours. But they managed to produce Nickleback. I think if we just bugged a few of our northern neighbors we might get them to revoke Nickleback's passports. I bet Canadians are terribly ashamed to be associated with them and do not want their music to damage any more brain cells of naive Americans.

They take all that's bad about Creed, and up the suck factor exponentially.

105. We Have To Make Liking Them Illegal Too!
Then, you'll be sneering at us anti-Stones folks from behind bars! So there! Actually, i wouldn't make them illegal. They don't do a thing for me, never have. But, i guess i understand why people like them. Now, there are lots of bands, Like Ted Nugent or Styx, whose appeal completely escapes me.

I couldn't limit my choice to just one illegal band. There'd have to be a list. A long list.

(yeah I know you said "pick one," but I'm goofy that way)

Stephen King
Bruce Willis
Russell Crowe
Anthony Michael Hall
Johnny Depp
Kevin Bacon
Keanu Reeves
Jared Leto
Billy Bob Thornton
Eddie Murphy
Jennifer Lopez

If in the bargain, we'd have to get rid of musician screen-star wannabes, that's cool because I certainly could live without:

Madonna
Whitney Houston
DMX
Britney Spears
Mariah Carey

106. I'll save you folks the trouble, 'kay?
- Wait a minute, Eddie Murphy redefined 80s R&B with "Party All The Time" and "Boogie in Your Butt" Please remove him from the list.

- Montauk, I really feel you owe Mr. Willis an apology. Bruce is one of the great harmonica players since Jerry Murad, and "Return To Bruno" is one of the finest CDs on the Motown label.

- I saw Russell Crowe at the Roxy last night, and he kicked ass. He's probably one of the most innovative musicians out there today.

- You know, Montauk, you really don't know music that well. Have you ever BEEN to a Billy Bob Thornton concert. His band is probably one of the greatest ever to ascend a stage, thank you very much. Open your mind, son.

- I'll have you know, Montauk, that I've forwarded your disgusting post to the mods; HOW DARE YOU diss the Bacon Brothers!

OK, point well taken, we're even. :hide:

Before that first album came out my roomate at the time and I saw a commercial for it that featured that ridiculous song Last Resort, heard the lyrics "Losing My Sight, Losing My Mind, Wish Somebody Would Tell Me I'm Fine" and wet ourselves laughing. One month later it'd sold about a billion copies. Shows something you'd rather not know about the people that inhabit the country we live in.

96. The original Beach Boys were wonderful.
Classic tunes & a classic sound. But I've avoided the subsequent groups touring on the name.

133. I won't see the "reincarnations" of the group.
Their original material had an incredible sound. I listen to a wide range of music and I'm proud to be a fan of the original Beach Boys (though I've been teased about it a few times).

Close enough to look in my eyes, Sharona.
Keeping it a mystery gets to me
Running down the length of my thighs, Sharona
Never gonna stop, give it up. Such a dirty mind.
Always get it up for the touch
of the younger kind. My my my i yi woo. M M M My Sharona...

When you gonna give it to me, give it to me.
It is just a matter of time Sharona
Is it just destiny, destiny?
Or is it just a game in my mind, Sharona?
Never gonna stop, give it up.
