Basically, she is just one of the conservative morans drafted by the conservative media to voice her "opinions", chosen because she is at least relatively coherent.
If the media had any standards left, no one would ever have made her a columnist.
5. STOP THE PRESSES! Kathleen Parker actually made a point?
our local rag (richmond times-dispatch) runs her column regularly. At first I was confused thinking that I had missed something-she never actually made a point on any issue. After reading her column for a while I could see that that is her M.O.
Oh she is married and has children, did she mention that in this article? She usually goes way out of her way to do that.
I have an idea that she has the goods (really dirty dirty stuff) on some or all of the editors of papers across the country. That is the only reason I can see for anyone publishing her (other than to fill up space and kill time).
6. She's probably just never heard of any of the following....
Photovoltaic power Advancement in semi-conductor technology Laser Surveying Scratch Resistant Lenses Advanced Weather Forecasting High Data-Rate Telemetry Systems Fire Resistance Materials Digital Imaging that helps prevent Breast Cancer Laser angioplasty
The list of these NASA developed of enhanced technologies goes on and on.
7. I find most of what she writes to be fluffy crap
I have read her column a number of times over the years.
Recipe for Kathleen Parker:
Take a week's worth OxyRush BS, boil down to a few paragraphs. Separate out the histrionics that come to the surface. Stir in a few measures of the saccarin sweetness of June Cleaver. For color, garnish with a few drops of Reactionary Phyllis Schlafley Self Loathing Elixer. Goes nicely with a side of Soured Republican Family Values Kraut and a thick slice of Santorum Ham.
