It'll be $11000 in about a month. From there I'll be out of my hole in under one year. There are other possibilities, mostly good... one potential bad one too, but I am optimistic and I am going to pay it all back.

1. That's exactly where I am ...
but the debt load is moving up rather than down.

9. It was higher... but even high as it is now,
I know people with 2-5x as much CC debt as I do now.

15. Thats all credit card debt???? Geez.
A friend of mine is 30k into the card sharks! Somehow he justifies it by saying its "0 %" interest so its great(until I remind him it is still going to have to be paid back). Right now I am 2800 in on a credit card, 8000 on a truck and 12,000 left on my house. Plan is to be debt free by mid 2007. Seriously- you are doing great paying it off in chuncks like that.

I'm kind of in an inverse situation. I have absolutely no debt, but I have very little money.

Once you get it all cleared, it will feel like you're earning money for yourself to keep.
