What's your favorite fast food place?
I like Taco Casa, but that's just a small regional chain.

it's been Quiznos'. I love their Honey Turkey BLT.. so damn good! But, alas, they are a bit pricey for fast food.

on edit: They're neck and neck with Popeye's. That friend chicken reminds me of home.. *sniff* And those biscuits!!!

7. Taco Bell
Most vegetarian friendly chain. Approved by PETA (those nuts).

My wife and I mark them in our highway atlas, as we do a lot of Interstate time.

Bean Burritos-Excellent Protein fix.

He could be found all over the place because his kitchen is on wheels but he has been parked at the Mariani Nut company in Winters, California for fourteen years...good honest food at a reasonable price!

I'm jobless so a tasty Wendy's $0.99 chow with a glass of water hits the spot. And its cheaper than home!

11. For the first time in years,
I ate at Hardee's. It was amazing. For so long they've only had little styrofoam boxes with stuff that wasn't food in them.

But, upon seeing the commercials about their switch to the thick Angus burgers, I had to try. Outstanding! It was like a home-grilled burger. Lean, tasty, actual meat.

My true favorite is Braum's - huge burger, fries and cherry limeade. mmmmmmmmm......

As an aside, do McDonald's fries suck everywhere now? I haven't had decent fries in months from any of the local McD's...

12. Quizznos
The sub joint. They oven roast their subs. Excellent and it blows Subway's subs right out of the water.

And they have salads on their menu too. McDonalds, Burger King, etc. I have completely cut out of my diet and am pleased to say I don't miss them.

18. This doesn't relate to how their food tastes, but...
Would it bother you to know that the founder of Chick-Fil-A is a religous fundamentalist fanatic?

I'm not trying to pick a fight, I just wonder if people know this.

Some of THE best burgers you can get. For the $$$, they cannot be beat: a kickass 3/4 lb burger for like 3.20? It doesn't get any better than that, dogg!

25. YES! In 'n' Out rules the Southern California universe!
And I second Taco Cabana, though I like quite a few other Mexican ones.

My favorite slightly-better-for you 'fast food' would be Subway, but I'm not actually sure that it really qualifies as fast food - it's just a sandwich place.

31. *slobber* In -n-Out!!!
Every time I go to Cali, I MUST FIND AN IN-N-OUT!!!! :9

Taco Cabana is OK, they used to be AWESOME, but since the original owners sold out...I used to go to the ORIGINAL TC back in San Antonio. The original TC owners opened a restaurant in SA called Mama Margie's. Supposedly it has the original TC menu. Back before the INS bust, you had to know how to say your numbers in Spanish to order off the menu! :D

21. Of the major 'burger' joints...
I go with Jack in the Box, hands down, for total menu. Nobody has as many reasonably edible items as they do.

If we can go a bit more 'upscale', Round Table Pizza is my favorite pizza chain. Best Total Menu for in this price category I go with Chili's.

23. I haven't eaten fast food in over ten years. But if I was forced to choose
one, I think Wendy's looks the healthiest and best. I'd go for the salads.
Actually my own kitchen is great for fast food! I've learned to keep it simple, quick and healthy. And when we get sick of eating at home, we go to a real restaurant or a friend's house...which is fun.

28. I love Wendy's
The burgers seem more real, and they don't disagree with me like Burger King's and McDonald's do.

That would be my choice.

Good stuff. I wish they would bring back the old Po' Boys though the chicken strip ones suck nuts.
