Teenager (15) Throws Egg At Man's Truck - Man Kills Teenager

A man accused of killing a 15-year-old boy for throwing eggs at vehicles was charged today with murder and other crimes that could send him to prison for up to 82 years.

Donald E. Ware, 37, Avon, was charged with murder in connection with the July 24 death of Brandon Dunson. He was charged with battery for the wounding of another boy, two counts of criminal recklessness for shooting at other teens involved in the prank and possession of marijuana.

Brandon and other teenagers were throwing eggs at vehicles in the area of Rockville and Girls School roads on the Far Westside. Officials say Ware, whose truck was one of the pranksters’ targets, chased the boys through a parking lot and fired shots from the truck.

A few hours later, Brandon was found dead, shot in the back.

Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi said today he would not pursue the death penalty for Ware. The facts of the case do not meet the qualifications for capital punishment in Indiana, he said.

“I am absolutely pursuing the strictest recourse possible,” Brizzi said.
The teens involved in the egg-throwing prank might face charges of criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, Brizzi said.

“They were doing something they obviously shouldn’t have been doing,” he said. “They should be held accountable in proportion to what they did.”

36. Two shootings in Mass. this week over traffic arguments

One involved a teenager spitting (he claims accidentally) on a man's car, who threatened to kill him if he did it again. A few moments later, the man fired into the teen's & his mother's car, wounding them both. This was in Lynn, MA.

The other was a case of a traffic argument between a 27-year old and a 61-year old. A half hour later, the older guy saw the younger guy's car, rammed it in the driver's side door, and then shot the 27-year-old several times while he held his 9 month old girl in his arms. The baby was unhurt. The old guy is charged with murder.

It's a fucked up world, eh? Someone remind me why guns make us safer...

scholarship, NFL. They don't realize that a conviction for the crime of throwing eggs at cars might have ended his dreams, as well. I don't want to get in the moral equivalency arguement, but you can't deny that the kid wasn't committing a crime in the first place.

I did it as a teen along with rolling people's houses. Putting plastic forks in their yards. It is something that most teens do at one time or another. Certainly doesn't deserve the death penalty. That man, OTOH....

16. There's a long sad history of people throwing things into traffic

in this state. Every couple of years we have a rash of concrete blocks being thrown from overpasses. A couple years ago, some fourth graders threw a pumpkin off a bridge and killed a trucker. This happened on a busy road where and the shooter was supposedly hit in the head. There could have been a terrible accident.

I don't think either side has the moral high ground.

use a whole package of plastic forks and stick them all over the yard. Why? I have no idea. We also would put powdered milk all over the yard and when the yard got wet (dew/rain) it would spoil the milk and stink so bad. Teens do some stupid stuff and yes, I was one of them.

From what I've observed (in others, of course) pot tends to make people a little more laid back than that - things that I've seen make people all wound-up and spoiling for a fight are things like alcohol, cocaine, and flags.

31. Similar To What Happened In My Town

When i was 16, a guy in my homeroom had his car hit with a snowball. He drove around the block, took a 30-06 out of the back seat of his car and shot and killed an 11 year old kid. Took two other shots. One went through the hood on the coat of the dead boy's 9 year old brother and the third hit a rail fence near a neighbor kid's head.

He's still in jail. 99 years, i think he got.
