I think Jon Alvy, one of the moderators, is also one of the most hardcore posters on FreeRepublic.

Not only does such underhanded foreign competition endanger America's hard working toy manufacturers, this SANTA figure also corrupts our MOST PRECIOUS RESOURCE, namely our children, by encouraging them to just sit around and EXPECT HANDOUTS, rather than working like every one else to earn the money to buy their own toys. This so-called "Christmas spirit" will lead to an ENTIRE GENERATION of Americans who will do nothing but put their STOCKINGS on the mantle and sit around on their lazy asses sucking off the PUBLIC TEAT.

As true, red blooded Americans, we must PUT AN IMMEDIATE STOP to this nefarious Santa figure and all that he represents. Hah, I love their "Movies to boycott" list - FREE ADVERTISING. And, amusingly, while other movies have some vague reasons as to why boycott them, "Elf" has not a single reason (as of this writing)! Well, Hugh Grant signed NION but they don't bother to give any links so, as far as I know, NION = "Nixon is only nuts". :eyes:
