Treo 600 users - do you like your device?
people on ebay have a million of them, refurbished, for sale.

User reports I've read are mostly good, but all of the negative responses are identical. This, to me, is a yellow flag (if not a red one).

1. what are the negatives ?
I like my 650, though I havent used it for any music at all, just for reading /posting web stuff, and making calls. I like the web browser on it, very useable.

3. The 600 has the following:
Lower CPU power (so I can't really ditch mt T3...) That's what a magazine said but otherwise gave it good marks.

But the complaints people at large have said:

A few say performance is poor because of a nubby fixed antenna. (I forgot the service but it wasn't Verizon or Sprint...)

But many, and I mean MANY, claim the phone is great while it works... which is for about 6 weeks. Some had gone through 4 phones in one year. (That's bad.)

A few whined about they keyboard, saying if you press your chin against it, it will disconnect. (cool)

I can get a refurbished unit for $130 total but if it dies, I'm out the money...

My instinct is to wait; enough people had said to beware and too many of them were consistent with their stories.

4. Cingular had a deal on the 650
Interesting, I have had my 650 for about 2 months, nothing bad to report except for the thing having two email programs. I like the camera, its nice and simple, if not good looking or high res.

Can't speak to if it's durable it's really only been on a few trips since I been working on contracts out of my home office.

I really like the keyboard, its way faster than using grafiti, which the thing doesnt even understand I think.

Im trying to write my first Hello World Java Midlet on it, so thats got to be cool in some circles :) (spins propeller beenie)

The bigger screen on the 650 is great, and the cingular deal was like $100 rebate on the phone itself.

2. Everyone I know who has one loves it
Although its 160 x 160 resolution screen is quite low nowadays.

I would love a 650, but that's a lot of money.
